Lasted 4 Years So Much for Maytag Quality....

I purchased this washer and matching dryer 4 years ago because of its size and large capacity. We moved into a new house so I decieded to go all out and purchase a Quality Washer and Dryer that would last for many years with a lot of capacity. So I spent a lot of money on this and the dryer. Have had nothing but regrets since then, this washer never really cleaned clothes very well and has too many Electronics for its own good.... Now it throws a DRN code and my appliance guy and I have tried everything to fix it. It has no clogs, brand new drain pump and still throws a DRN code even though the pump is throwing plenty of water out the drain. It will drain when you hit the power button during the rince in spin. However anytime you try to wash it refuses to Spin dry and throws the DRN code. The problem isn't the pump, nor the connection too the pump (Which was an issue too with the cheap chinzy connections to the pump that are loose and sloppy) and no clogs. The appliance guy suspects the Control Board is shot and mentioned that most of his clients have nothing issues with this particular washer. Really? Already? I thought Maytag was one of the best? Meanwhile I have an old Maytag Washer from the 80s downstairs that washes the really dirty stuff like rugs, oily clothes, and etc. and it is still going strong. No DRN CODES it just works! The only drawback is its capacity, but for our 2nd floor laundry I thought I would buy a nice big washer because I have 3 kids that produce a lot of laundry. Very dissapointed guess Maytag is no longer the company it used to be now that Whirlpool owns them which is shocking because I used to think Whirlpool was good too.... I don't need a Smart Washer, I just need something that works and gets my clothes clean and something that is reliable. I guess those days are gone, its all about poor build quality and marketing. The 10 year limited warranty doesn't matter much when it only protects the components that most likely will never fail like the drive motor and basket..... Yet the marketing on that Warranty makes it sound like that your Washer will be covered for many years.... Considering that the washer never really performed well to begin with, I am seriously considering giving up on the repair and buying a different brand that is not Whirlpool, Kenmore or Maytag..... Considering how much I spent on this washer for 4 years of use that is pretty poor value....
